Cyborg Legends features 8 clans, each of them using a unique specific weapon, specific clan skills and, of course, possessing magic capabilities.

If last time we focused on the Good Side, today we’re switching our attention to the remaining four clans, known as the Bad Side.

Dark Elves

Not long after their creation as a result of the experimentation, two warring sisters caused a rift within the clan of elves. One sister and her followers left their friends and families behind. As their leader, she pursued a different path to the original clan. These elves were far from peaceful; they dabbled in black magic and indulged in banditry, enslavement and war.

Even now, the two clans of elves regularly fight, though both realise that the Androids are the greater threat to their existence. Like their elf cousins, they are a proud people united by familial and tribal bonds. But, unlike the other elves, they prefer to travel, seeking out adventure and advancement, with little concern for others. In fact, most Dark Elves consider themselves superior — especially in matters of war. With their experience of multiple terrains, peoples, creatures and weathers, they are confident in any environment. Their preferred weapon is the long dagger and most Dark Elves will fight with two. This specialist skill is acquired through relentless training and popular competitions held in specially designed arenas.

Opponents will find themselves in great difficulty if they get too close to Dark Elves; these jagged blades can cause horrific damage. The warriors of this clan are exceptionally agile and swift, though many use coats of lightweight silver armour. It takes a brave soul to face the two blades.

Undead

The Undead are the most unusual of the eight clans. They are a product of cybernetic implant technology that malfunctioned during the final hours of the war, reanimating the deceased owners of the implants.

Because they have already died, the Undead possess no fear and this gives them an edge in combat. However, they are also in constant, agonizing pain which limits their cognitive ability. It is said that they possess a particular hatred for the individual or clan that originally killed them but they will fight virtually anyone, including the Androids. Though they are never heard to speak, it is evident that the Undead possess some intelligence and are able to communicate with each other.

They generally gather in underground places such as caves and tunnels. They prefer darkness but are also capable of fighting and moving during the day. The appearance of the Undead varies; some dress as their former selves, others return within mutilated and decayed bodies. All possess rage-filled red eyes. Because they don’t have conventional needs such as food, water and shelter, the Undead are a very dangerous foe. They are made even more dangerous by their main weapon — enormous metal scythes that can easily slice through necks and limbs.

Demons

Unique amongst the eight clans, the Demons are the only beings not to have originated on Earth. They appeared relatively recently — in the final moments of the war — as a result of a rift in the space/time continuum. The rift was caused by an overload of radiation and energy, opening a portal that dragged the Demons to Earth from a parallel reality where Humanity never existed.

Due to their origins, the other clans believe they come from ‘Hell’. This impression is reinforced by their red-skin and vestigial wings. Though they are sentient, and more advanced than the Undead, the Demons are adversely affected by the radiation that brought them to Earth.

Very large, strong and animalistic, they will attack any other clan and are happy to eat them for sustenance. There is one exception: the Androids cannot be consumed because of their metallic bodies.

This does not stop the Demons attacking them. Like the Undead, they do not generally operate in organised groups but they will band together when under threat. They are not capable of strategy but they must not be underestimated: their size and bestial aggression makes them fearsome foes. Every Demon is armed with a powerful sceptre, useful for both melee and distance attacks.

Orcs

The Orcs are a clan of vicious, violent warriors: the most warlike product of biological experimentation. These muscular, green-skinned creatures love fighting, drinking and gambling. They have adapted to the times, merging the modern with ancient magic.

Typically, they occupy lands that others considered too inhospitable: bleak plains, fetid marshes, shadowy caves. They live with their young in large warbands, usually under the leadership of a tough chieftain.

Orc tribes have been known to fight each other but they will always unite when facing the hated Androids. They will also attack virtually any other clan, and are invariably on the hunt for blood and treasure. When it comes to combat, Orcs are known for their strength, endurance and ability to withstand pain. They are often seen fighting on with wounds that would cripple inferior warriors. Though considered barbaric and stupid by other clans, the Orcs have a race of craftsmen who work with all manner of materials and now use new technology to supplement them. They possess a naturally tough hide but still sometimes use armour and shields for protection.

Their key armament is the two-handed axe, a weapon that requires both strength and skill. Many humans could not even lift these weapons but, in the hands of an Orc, they can inflict massive damage.
